It's that time of year again!
Thank you very much for writing for me, and I hope you find something here to inspire you. I'm

The Left Hand of Darkness
Sorve rem ir Estraven
I love the atmosphere that Le Guin built around Winter and the Gethenians themselves. Feel free to use any pronouns you want for Gethenian characters.
I’ve been interested in Sorve since the first time I read the last chapter of TLHOD. Their questions and attitude towards Genly was very intriguing, as was the glimpse of life in Estre.
Dominion of the Fallen
Any
I’d be really interested in fic featuring any combination of the nominated characters.
Probably my favourite thing about these books is that the world has ended, but in a lot of ways people are just getting on with life, the same way they did before the war, with all the good and bad that brings.
A Midsummer Night's Dream
Helena, Hermia
I’ve watched a number of interpretations of this play, both live and on TV, the most recent being the Globe’s 2014 version. Feel free to take inspiration from any version you want!

- What does Sorve know of the events of the novel, either during them or afterwards?
- What do they do after, and as an adult? I’ve always been fond of the idea that he gets involved with the Ekumen at some point, but I’d be interested in anything, including if Genly involves himself, either in canon-compliant fic or an AU.
- What’s their relationship like with Estraven? Do they even know each other that much? In an AU where Estraven lives, does that change at all?
- I’d also be interested in a snapshot of life in Estre, and how that might be for Sorve in particular.
- I'd be particularly interested in epistolary fic or fic as an in-world text for this fandom.

- I’m fascinated by the hints we get at Asmodeus’s backstory throughout the books - I’d love something focusing on his very early years in Hawthorn, or as the Head of the Court of Birth.
- Equally, Selene or Emmanuelle within Morningstar’s Silverspires, or fic focusing on Selene or both of them in the years between Morningstar’s disappearance and the start of The House of Shattered Wings.
- Though I love the arranged marriage set up of Asmodeus and Thuan’s relationship within canon, I’d love an AU where they meet under different circumstances.
- Fic about inter-House politics, or exploring the ramifications of Silverspires being the only ‘true’ House left after The House of Sundering Flames.
- I’d be very interested in any number of different setting AUs with these characters, including modern setting, politics AUs, in SPAAAACE, or a different kind of apocalypse.

- Some of my favourite productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream have changed the setting and I’d be especially interested in any kind of fantasy, sci-fi or unusual historical setting AU.
- Anything where Helena and Hermia fall in love, either before the events of the play or during the shenanigans in the forest. Or even after, when they’re meant to be having their happy ending.
- I’d also be interested in pre-canon missing scenes or something set in the gap between them running away and appearing in the forest.
- Do they ever encounter the fairy land again?
