Caroline's a character I just completely fell in love with the first time she properly appeared in the series. To be honest, I'll probably love any story with her as the focus, but if you want some ideas:

Peter and Caroline (and Grace or Abigail?) get to do magical experiments together

Anything about Caroline's time as Awa Shambir. Was she investigating the Faceless Man off her own back or on her mum's behalf?

How did she meet Grace? Or anything else about her early life, being raised as part of Lady Helena's brood.

Scenes from the books from Caroline's PoV - because of the way her life has been I can imagine her perspective on things is very different from Peter's. What does the demi monde and the Folly look like for her?

An AU where the Folly and the Society of the Rose never split, or maybe one where the Folly never fell and in the 21st century they've reached an uneasy truce.

Dominion of the Fallen
Rong Minh Thanh Thuan, Asmodeus
I love these books and I love that a lot more people seem to be getting on board with the novellas. A particular highlight of this series for me is Asmodeus and Thuan and their relationship. It is so up my alley - the arranged marriage, the enemies to lovers, the snark, the fact that Thuan is actually older than Asmodeus...

An AU where Thuan and Asmodeus meet without the arranged marriage? How does their relationship unfold then? Especially if they meet long before they do in canon, when Asmodeus is either still the Head of the Court of Birth or even when he was Houseless.

Anything that takes place in the gap between The House of Binding Thorns and The House of Sundering Flames, and the development of their relationship.

I'd be very interested in a scenario where one of them is kidnapped or held hostage and the other has to try and get them out.

Both of the novellas are set within the dragon kingdom, which I love, but I'd be interested in a mystery set in the streets of Paris, among the Houseless, as Asmodeus used to be one of them.

What was the time between Genly's landing and the start of the book like for Estraven?

I'm always here for an AU where Estraven survives the events of the book. If he survives, what does he do afterwards?

A role-swap AU where Estraven is the mobile visiting a pre-Ekumen Terra.

What does Sorve know of the events of the novel, either during them or afterwards? What does he do after, and as an adult? I’ve always been fond of the idea that he gets involved with the Ekumen at some point, but I’d be interested in anything, including if Genly involves himself, either in canon-compliant fic or an AU.

Ashe's one of those characters who's only in the book very briefly, yet everything about him is interesting. Anything about him, from his past with Estraven to his present, living with the Foretellers.

In general, I'd be interested in anything about Handdara, the Foretellers and the Fastnesses for any of the characters

Does Genly see him again after the events of the book?

What was Genly's early life like? One of my favourite bits from the book is when Estraven calls him an exile - what sort of things encouraged him to choose the life of an Envoy?
