Summary: Hawthorn is dead, but the house still needs them. Alone in the dark, Thuan and Asmodeus have to get up and keep going after killing that which they had sworn themselves to.
This is a really wonderful extension of canon and captures everything I love about Asmodeus and Thuan and their dynamic. Heavy end-of-book spoilers for The House of Sundering Flames and an additional warning for canon-typical violence.

Captures the tone and feel of the book very well, especially the persistent melancholy. The feeling of Estraven being haunted by their ghosts throughout this fic is really well written. And who doesn’t like a good kemmer-on-the-Ice fic.
